    Concord Parking is currently hiring Seasonal Curbside Ambassadors for our operation at the Vancouver International Airport.

    The Curbside Ambassador is a customer facing position responsible for managing curbside traffic at the Vancouver International Airport, assisting passengers with wayfinding, and enforcing curbside traffic rules and parking regulations, reporting issues to Ground Transportation Dispatch and the Supervisory Team.

    Key responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and be knowledgeable of all airport amenities and services to provide high-quality service and friendly assistance to customers.
  • Ensure Personal and Public Safety is always a top priority while performing duties.
  • Direct all vehicles in curbside areas and roadways to ensure continuous traffic flow and minimize congestion.
  • Enforce parking regulations at the terminal curbside and report for tow citations to vehicles parked and left unattended in restricted areas.
  • Confirm that Taxi, Commercial Vehicles, and Ride Share vehicles use appropriate areas and that Taxis are called up in the order of staging.
  • Verify Taxi decals for designated open and restricted hours.
  • Ensure designated stopping areas are used appropriately, and pedestrian movement over crosswalks is safe and orderly.
  • Manage pedestrian crosswalks, direct and stop traffic, and pedestrians accordingly.
  • Actively patrol checkpoints or patrol stationery assigned areas as per daily operational requirements.
  • Report safety issues, accidents, unattended vehicles, unauthorized vehicles, and unattended items to Ground Transportation Dispatch and the supervisory team.
  • Process tow orders and catalog vehicles when successfully towed from the site.
  • Maintain accurate records of patrol observations, vehicles in violation, tow orders, and traffic patterns.
  • Collaborate with airport stakeholders, including airlines and ground transportation providers, to ensure efficient curbside operations.
  • Assist passengers with disabilities and special needs in accessing ground transportation options.
  • Perform other duties as required, which are broadly in line with the listed responsibilities.

    These positions include a lot of walking and standing outdoors. Since some shifts could end late, after the Canada Line has stopped running, reliable transportation will be helpful .

    Full training and uniforms are provided.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service: demonstrable ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced and pressurized environment.
  • Previous experience traffic management preferred
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Professional and polished demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Applicants must have weekend Availability. Seasonal Term: (3 months) May 15, 2024, to August 15, 2024
