Your role at GEI.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

Assist with Phase Two ESAs including soil sampling during subsurface investigations, groundwater sampling following monitoring well installation, elevation surveys, completion of borehole logs and report writing;
Assist with hydrogeological studies including MOECC well searches, groundwater monitoring, soil surveys, geological characterization, and identification of sensitive areas. Work with other engineering disciplines to achieve project goals;
This position includes both field and office work, including soil, groundwater and surface water sampling, and associated data analysis and reporting;
Certain assignments may require that you work outside of normal work hours;
Other duties as assigned, including communication with property owners (as needed).

Minimum Qualifications

Geoscience/Environmental Engineering student
Civil inspection and surveying experience is considered an asset.
Experience and aptitude to work with the following software packages: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, GIS;
Possess strong organizational, oral, written communication, and problemsolving skills; have an approachable enthusiastic interpersonal style;
Possess a valid driver's licence and have access to a personal vehicle.
