Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications to patients
  • Prepare and package medications for distribution
  • Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
  • Enter patient and prescription information into the computer system
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience
  • Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment

Skills:


  • Medication administration: Knowledge of proper medication administration techniques and procedures.
  • Patient care: Ability to provide compassionate care to patients, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.
  • Pharmacy technician: Proficiency in performing tasks specific to the role of a pharmacy technician, such as medication preparation, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Hospital: Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, including medication distribution systems, sterile compounding, and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Medical terminology: Understanding of medical terms commonly used in healthcare settings.

Salary:
$18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
