Description
An AV Technician is an experienced AV professional who can work directly with the client or the client's designated lead/supervisor/project manager/technical director in the setup, and dismantling of audio, video, lighting systems and/or other production elements in a hotel, convention centre or similar type event venue.
AV Technician duties include, but are not limited to, loading and unloading trucks; separating cases by designation; building truss and other scenic structures; setting up and dismantling event-related equipment (e.g. staging, set pieces, scenic, furniture, audio, video, lighting systems); setting up intermediate to advanced AV systems for turnkey operation; and assisting with other assorted duties that are entailed when setting up, or dismantling events.- Punctual
- Able to work well under direction
- Ability to work respectfully with a diverse team
- Able to demonstrate technical proficiency on demand
- Able to lift 50Ibs, independently or up to 150lbs in a team
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Familiar with loading and unloading trucks (Docks, Lift Gates, Ramps, Pallet Jacks)
Job Requirements
- Legally permitted to work in Canada
- Highschool Diploma or equivalency
- Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps Certificate
- WHMIS (2015 or later)
Experience in the following is an asset
- Has worked as an A2, L2 or V2 in a live environment
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Scissor Lift Certificate, with 1 year practical use
- Has relevant postsecondary education
NOTE:
Crew Supply is also looking for AV Hands ($22.00-$24.00) and Breakout Operators ($30.00-$30.50).
