Summary
Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time Gate Check Out Attendant to join our team. The shifts are Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm. The wage range is $19.70-$22 per hour. Our Extended Health & Dental Benefits start after 3 months.

Responsibilities

Compare receipt to product in customers vehicle to confirm the correct product was loaded/charged
Verify customers leaving the yard were able to find everything on their list
Greet and provide directions to customers in order to ensure they locate what they are intending to purchase
Process returns (filling out return slips/verifying product is in saleable condition)
General housekeeping/odd jobs (sweeping, assembling products e.g. wheelbarrows/hand trucks)
Practice and promote workplace safety standards
Provide superior Customer Service
Stocking of merchandise or various yard and warehouse tasks are as required or directed by management
Stacking or sorting of lumber
Weekly inventory
Physically demanding
Load and unload building materials in a safe and efficient manner using Forklift

Requirements:

A broad knowledge of building supplies
Forklift experience is essential
Effective written and oral communication skills (Ability to speak, read and write in English)
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Ability to work independently and as team
Physical requirements include:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
Sitting and driving for longs periods of time
Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
A positive can do attitude is essential
