Description

The Comfort Inn & Suites, Barrie hotel is looking for a part-time Guest Service Representative to join our team.

Duties include guest check in/out, pleasant and courteous guest service, taking reservations, phone answering, transaction accuracy, maintaining cleanliness and assisting in all other departments and provide guests with exceptional service and memorable experiences.

Responsibilities:

Book and record accurately all hotel room reservations or inquiries
Ensure all incoming calls are answered in a professional manner and according to hotel policies
Make, confirm, change and cancel reservations
Use upselling techniques to increase reservations revenue
Ensure that check in/checkout standards are being met
Resolve guest complaints or conflict situations
Assist guests in accessing hotel facilities and services as well as services available in the community.
Cross train on all shifts including night audit (midnight)
Must be available to work a varied schedule including afternoons, overnight, weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

Hotel Experience preferred
Professional presentation
100% punctual, dependable and ready to advance and learn
Excellent communication, problemsolving skills and the ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations
Exceptional multitasking skills and able to be empathetic to guest needs
