    Job SummaryThe Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Chemical and Biological Engineering.


    DutiesThe functions of a member of the academic staff include, in varying proportions:1. Teaching activities.2. Scholarly activities revealed by research in the candidate's areas of expertise.3. Academic service activities.4. Supervision of graduate students.

    Required SkillsA commitment to teaching and graduate training; and a strong track record in and a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration. Candidates will be expected to teach core and elective courses in Chemical Engineering in both French and English at the time of hiring; thus, bilingualism (French/English) is required. Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada needs to be satisfied at the time of tenure and thereafter. In light of the Faculty's initiatives in the areas of design engineering and of technological entrepreneurship, expertise in one or both of these areas will also be considered an asset.
    EducationUndergraduate degree and Ph.
    D. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.


    ExperienceA demonstrated excellent research or professional track record in at least one of the Department's focus areas of research:
    Biomedical Engineering, Clean Technologies, Materials Development Engineering, Process Engineering, and Renewable Energy.
