Taking Charge Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides programs and services for single parents and women.


Taking Care is the on-site Child and Parent Development Centre of Taking Charge Our centre is known for providing high quality care for children and exceeding regulatory expectations.

We have a dynamic team environment that fosters personal growth and teamwork.


Taking Care has an immediate need for a full time casual Child Care Assistant, which could lead to a permanent position.


Qualifications:


  • Experience with infants, toddlers and preschool children
  • Certified in Emergency First Aid / Infant Child CPR
  • Will be required to obtain a Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Registry Check with Clearance
  • CCA Certification
  • 40hr early childhood course is an asset
  • Knowledge of emergent curriculum
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Imagination, inventiveness and individuality are welcome in this supportive team environment
  • Flexible and able to work in a high paced environment.
  • Experience in a daycare facility is required.
Salary will commensurate with education and experience.
