About the role

There are a number of functional pods in Foreign Exchange (FX)

Option including:
Murex, Trade Services, Pricing and Hedging, eRisk and Distribution as well as Trade Reporting. We are also working closely with Global Foreign Exchange (FX) Compute team.

Foreign Exchange (FX) Options Murex (version 3.1) Primary Trading System is used for Risk Management, Trade Lifecycle management and Reporting for Foreign Exchange (FX) Options Business.

Foreign Exchange Options (FXO) Murex is a global instance supporting 3 main hubs - London, Hongkong and New York and up to 30 other entities with a daily average volume of 10k trades.

The platform supports a wide range of vanillas, exotics and HSBC flex products.

Responsibilities:

Providing functional support for Front Office, Middle Office and Traded Risk users including assistance with PnL and Risks investigation
Analysis of trade lifecycle issue including reporting, working with the Back Office to analyse Front to Back issues.
Communicate with the Business, Murex, IT development and support teams to capture requirements, develop and release necessary changes
Working with the Quants team to identify issues in HSBC Flex valuations
Providing functional advice and support to other members of the global team
Delivering bug fixes to production using continuous delivery methodologies
Contribute to the knowledge base to enhance effectiveness of pod and triage layer
Contribute to Monitoring and alerting
