Position Overview:


  • Under the general direction of the Supervisor, Laundry or designate, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the LAUNDRY ATTENDANT, CART MAKEUP is responsible for the preparation of linen carts and orders; advising the Supervisor of linen shortages; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Experience:


  • No experience required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):


  • Grade X

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, twist and reach constantly throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs/12 kgs.
  • Ability to push/pull carts weighing up to approximately 315 lbs/145 kgs.
