**Who you are: We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results Geotab is seeking a Team Lead, Food and Beverage who will lead a team of Food and Beverage Coordinators, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Food and Beverage program. This person is also responsible for managing the coordination and execution of all food and beverage events (e.g., demo kitchen, team dinners) for stakeholders across our organization. **What you'll do:

How you'll make an impact:


  • Collaborate with event stakeholders to plan and coordinate food and beverage services for various events by assessing event requirements, objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Manage event timelines, schedules and preparation for seamless event flow.
  • Maintain inventory storage and records to manage stock levels of supplies.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages and negotiate competitive pricing.
  • Pickup inventory items as needed.
  • Create and maintain procedure manuals, menus, vendor lists, order guides and inventory lists.
  • Create menus that suit the event or function's requirements and meet the preferences and dietary needs identified through the event planning process.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage operation and preparation adheres to health and safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Oversee the activities and performance of direct reports through comprehensive training on event procedures, protocols, and customer service standards to the team.
  • Engage direct reports through regular 1:1 meetings to discuss performance, provide feedback, address concerns, areas of growth and training opportunities.
  • Participate in the annual performance management cycle by assisting with the evaluation process.

What you'll bring to this role:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • 35 years of experience in food and beverage operations, including menu planning, food preparation, service techniques, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with catering and food service operations is desirable.
  • Position requires a strong knowledge of the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitization regulations is a plus.
  • Success with coaching and development of employees.
  • Welldefined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation, conflict resolution and relationship management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve.
  • Strategic mindset, has a keen sense of priorities.
  • Ability to pivot as needed.
  • Strong teamplayer with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Technical competence using software programs, including but not limited to Google Suites (sheets, docs, slides).
  • Food Handlers Certificate and SmartServe is an asset.
  • Availability to work different shifts (e.g., early morning, late evening)
  • Ability to travel as needed, to pickup inventory close to HQ.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
