Description

Education:
No degree, certificate or diploma.

Tasks:
Drive as a local driver. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.

Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.

Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to dispatch. Record cargo information, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.

Driver's License (Class 1 or A).

Drive Hours

Maintain accurate driving hours as a time log sheet

Type of trucking and equipment:
Flatbed. Refrigerated. Tractor-trailer.

Security and safety:
Driver's validity license check. Driving record check (abstract).

Transportation/travel information:
Valid driver's licence.

Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Sitting

Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Cellular phone.
