About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a
Regular full-time
SAP Business Systems Analyst III to join our dynamic
IT
External Customer Experience team.


Formula for success

  • Harnessing your technical experience, you will write user stories, create mockups, define business rules and testing requirements to connect the user experience, development efforts and testing.
  • Leveraging your excellent collaboration skills, you will collaborate and strategize with business stakeholders and technical resources to identify potential solutions involving people, process, information, and technology and evaluate end user requirements that involve both SAP and nonSAP solutions.
  • Drawing on your problemsolving skills, you will troubleshoot issues with business stakeholders and technical resources with regard to the hospital portal, SAP and/or reporting.
  • Utilizing your exceptional visualization skills, you will create and share user guides and supports to allow users to easily understand how to people, process and technology are connected.

Desired education and skills

  • Successful completion of postsecondary level education in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience working as a business analyst or business systems analyst in IT.
  • Ability to conduct business professionally and develop strong working relationships with business partners, external hospital teams and team members and throughout the IT division,
  • Strong understanding of data and how it contributes to User Interface, business rules and reporting. If you love connecting data sets in Excel, we would love to hear from you.
  • Excellent problem analysis, planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong configuration experience in designated functional area of expertise.

What you can expect

  • If your experience in SAP Sales and Distribution is limited, Canadian Blood Services is dedicated to providing formal training in SAP, tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual. This training initiative aims to enhance your skills and understanding in the realm of SAP, equipping you with valuable knowledge to excel in your role.
  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
  • You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
  • If you are located outside of Ottawa, you may be expected to travel to our office location in Ottawa Lancaster Rd, quarterly for inperson team meetings when required.
