- The ideal candidate must hold a valid Second-Class Steam Ticket in British Columbia
- Prior experience as a boiler/turbine operator in a steam plant is advantageous
- Demonstrated high technical proficiency in steam plant operations and water treatment equipment. Proficient in boiler/turbine operations
- Ability to engage in hands-on operation of plant equipment such as DCS control systems, turbo generators, pumps, compressors, heaters, etc. Conduct routine PM maintenance
- Familiarity with Bailey Infinity/Delta V control system or similar control systems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of W.H.M.I.S., TDG, and OH&S regulations
- Capable of working collaboratively within a team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with working independently for the most part
- Proficient in using tools for minor tasks
- Well-organized, Energetic, Punctual, Self-motivated individual
- Shift work is a requirement
- Preference for prior experience in a food processing/manufacturing setting
- Key duties include: monitoring all processes and equipment, responding to emergencies and upset conditions following established procedures, performing routine operating tasks (e.g., monitoring levels, temperatures, pressures), observing operating area for abnormalities, conducting basic troubleshooting, sampling as necessary, aiding in equipment preparation for maintenance, initiating equipment/unit repairs, and fulfilling assigned housekeeping and operational maintenance tasks

We are in search of a dedicated 2nd Class Power Engineer to become a valuable member of our expanding team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position involves a work schedule comprising 12-hour rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends during processing periods, with potential day shift maintenance during the rest of the year. This full-time permanent role falls under a union collective agreement with a rate of $52.00/hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a company pension plan. Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment medical assessments and drug screening.
