RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Core Lab Manager oversees the operations of CMR Laboratory.

She or he assumes an effective and efficient management of Core Lab Readers and external sites readers, financial, physical and information resources of these services and oversees the organization and operation of the structure that supports these activities.

General Duties

Supervises all activities related to the acquisition, internal handling, storage, exchange with external partners, and export of data used for activities of the McGill University CMR Research Core Lab.

This includes the overall data safety and participant data privacy.

Furthermore, the Core Lab Manager is overseeing the daily operations of the CMR Core lab, including staffing, scheduling, equipment, supplies and more.

Bachelor's Degree


Field of Study:
Marketing & IT support
Or related work experience


Work Experience: 5 years and more in the field

Other Requirements:


  • Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
  • Ability to vulgarize scientific literature,
  • Knowledge of FTP/SFTP, VPN, and other data transfer strategy,
  • Working knowledge of data redundancy plans,
  • Experience in marketing an asset.

Status:
Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)


Pay Scale:
$59, $110,255.60, commensurate with education & work experience


Work Shift:
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm

Glen
