Role Description
The Medical Documentation Training Specialist to develop, organize, oversee, and lead the training programs for medical document reviewers and analysts.
The Training Specialist will be responsible for creating and delivering training plans and materials to ensure that document reviewers are efficient and fully equipped with the necessary skills to provide accurate and reliable medical document analysis.
The Medical Documentation Training Specialist will also work collaboratively with Medical Document Analysts, Quality Assurance, and Technical teams to improve and optimize training programs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, organize, oversee, and lead the training programs
- Training content planning and design
- Designing and testing to ensure learner adaptation
- Facilitation of training
- Conducting Train the trainer sessions
- Evaluating Training sessions and Trainers
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related medical field such as Health Information Management or Health Informatics.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in training and development with an emphasis on eLearning and virtual training.
- Ability to understand and explain complex medical documents
- Excellent knowledge of HIPAA and other laws governing healthcare document management and the ability to ensure security and confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
