Materials Coordinator - Shipping/Receiving

***: The Materials Coordinator will be a critical member of the Shipping & Receiving department, responsible for the secure management of client assets and media stored in our vaults, 24 hours every business day.
MAIN DUTIES:
As a critical member of the Shipping & Receiving team, the Materials Coordinator will be responsible for shipping and receiving domestic and international freight, and will become the expert with FedEx Ship Manager, DHL Software, UPS, and TNT Waybills, while acting as the liaison with our external shipping couriers.
In addition, the Materials coordinator will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate records of all elements within our vault database using Media Pulse and ensure all elements are securely stored and handled.
To prepare for production, the Materials coordinator will scan all incoming hard drives/USB thumb-drives for viruses and stage assets and media with orders.
They will be responsible for fulfilling work order requests for assets and media and scanning them to each work order or staff person.
Additional duties include:
- Deliver and pick up elements within the building
- Revault elements from the production areas in a timely fashion
- Manage vault space to make room for new elements
- Work with producers to identify and move inactive elements
- Providing extra help in areas that are particularly busy or shortstaffed at a given time
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Knowledge of Windows & OSX
- Must be able to work on any shift in a 24/7 operation
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work effectively both unsupervised and within a teambased environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Xytech Media Pulse is an asset
- Knowledge of the video, film and production industry an asset
