About CCRM:


Role Summary:


As the intern on the Communications and Marketing team, you will join a small but experienced team of communications professionals.

CCRM is a dynamic place to work, and you will have ample opportunities to learn and advance your skills.

You can take on as much responsibility as you can handle We're particularly keen to find someone who is very organized, pays attention to details, and has strong digital and graphic design skills.


Here are projects you'll assist with:

  • Contributing content to the internal newsletter and the staff intranet;
  • Managing content creation projects for social media;
  • Supporting workshops and events we run by designing and creating content for meeting materials and signage; invitations; event logistics; and, possibly, onsite registration desk;
  • Supporting onboarding of staff and updating the staff credentials database;
  • Updating CCRM's website;
  • Developing media lists and helping to promote events by contacting community event listings;
  • Compiling media reports from Meltwater;
  • Supporting conferences we sponsor by managing the shipping of materials, booth details, liaison with organizers, correspondence with industry partners, and more;
  • Assisting with report writing and/or research, as needed;
  • Blogging;
  • Proofreading and editing;
  • Designing flyers and ads;
  • Assisting with special projects, as they arise; and,
  • Other, as required.

Qualifications:


  • In a public relations or communications degree or diploma program or graduate of a relevant program with related work experience (science communications, marketing, journalism, business writing).
  • Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to express complex ideas simply and directly.
  • Able to absorb technical information and craft a unique and compelling narrative.
  • Experience with media monitoring tools and Mailchimp, or equivalent.
  • Experience developing brandaligned visuals, images and templates using Adobe design software and Canva.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 software and tools.
  • Social media user.
  • Working proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience creating videos and using video editing tools is an asset.
  • Science background or knowledge of regenerative medicine would be an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
