Responsibilities:


  • Work with all die protection sensors and Operating switches.
  • Check tonnage and lead setting during setup
  • Ensure all reporting is as per the instructions provided on the In process Control Plan
  • Inspect all designated parts continually as instructed
  • Follow and update press set up sheets (corrections in conjunction with the supervisor)
  • Prepare the press for the die by ensuring the working area is clean and all unnecessary items are removed
  • Ensure that die is properly placed on machine
  • Adjust lead setting
  • Follow Firstoff and Lastoff procedures by taking the first and last parts off the press to Quality Assurance for inspection/approval.
  • Supply Lastoff progressive strip and two Lastoff parts on tool when finished production run
  • Clean up die with air blower at end of each coil
  • Ensure all parts are identified correctly and information on labels is correct and legible
  • Assist with coil changes

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3 years of equivalent experience in a similar role and setting.
  • Must have an understanding of machine guarding


  • Education

  • OSSD
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Must have strong Interpersonal and communication skills, (verbal & written.)
  • A Team Player, with the ability to work independently when required
  • Good Eye and Hand coordination, and mobility (must be able to bend, lift 30 to 50 lbs., good arm extension required)
  • Must recognize importance of and perform quality control dispensation.
  • Must have own transportation as our location is not located on a bus route
