We are currently seeking an Associate Project Manager for the Northeast US Market supporting Sustainable Building Design & Operations and ESG Advisory to join our Sustainability Consulting practice.

What this job involves

As an Associate Project Manager at JLL, you will be responsible for supporting delivery of sustainability engagements for our global real estate partners.

Your continuous development of skills is key to the impact you will have in this role.

Your knowledge of commercial real estate operations, sustainability and energy management and construction will speak to your ability to collaborate with your team in delivering innovative and impactful solutions.


Notable responsibilities for this role will include:
Sustainable Buildings Design & Operations Support (40%)

You will be responsible for supporting project delivery related to sustainable building design & operations including but not limited to sustainable building certifications (LEED, WELL, Fitwel, ILFI, etc.) as well as the development of sustainable building design & operations policies & guidelines.

You will interact with clients and vendors to develop collaborative solutions, support project related documentation, perform research, support weekly meetings and develop reports and memos communicating technical details, processes and action items.

ESG Strategy & Advisory Support (40%)

You will be responsible for supporting project delivery related to ESG strategy & advisory including but not limited to portfolio sustainability strategy & planning as well as corporate sustainability disclosure & reporting (GRESB, CDP, TCFD, GRI, SASB, etc.).

You will interact with clients on ESG advisory scopes to establish baselines, benchmark performance against industry peers, determine materiality of ESG issues and collaboratively develop ESG targets and strategies.

You will support project related documentation, perform research, support weekly meetings and develop reports and memos communicating technical details, processes and action items.

Sustainability Data Analysis (10%)

You will play a critical role in supporting sustainability data management, analysis & reporting including but not limited to energy, carbon, water, waste, indoor environmental quality as well as qualitative ESG metrics.

You will coordinate with clients and JLL colleagues to request select data, support data entry and analysis.

You will support GHG accounting of scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions, ENERGY STAR Benchmarking and leveraging in-house and 3rd Party data management and reporting platforms.

Sustainability Delivery Process Development (10%)
In collaboration with leadership, you will support developing and evolving the delivery solutions for our sustainability consulting services.

These include data management processes, analysis capabilities, identifying applicable 3rd Party tools as well as client facing deliverables, where applicable.

You will need to collaborate across the Northeast US Sustainability Consulting team, as well as the North American Sustainability Consulting platform to bring together the best of developed solutions.

Education and experience

  • Minimum 13 years' experience in real estate, sustainability, energy/engineering analysis, and/or environmental science
  • BA/BS degree in sustainability, engineering, environmental science real estate, or related field
  • Master's degree in engineering, sustainability management or real estate a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in technical data analysis, client engagement and presentation delivery preferred
  • Experience with any of the following building certifications preferred: ENERGY STAR, LEED, WELL, Fitwel, BREAAM, BOMA360, IREM, ILFI Zero Carbon
  • Experience with any of the following building certifications a plus: International Living Future Institu
