The role:


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Learning and Development, the
Learning Specialist will play a crucial role in partnering with the business, taking ownership of learning initiatives, and actively addressing skill gaps that affect our talent pool.

This will contribute to enhancing our workforce's capabilities and overall employee retention.


The
Learning Specialist will:

Be a Learning Partner to the business by developing a relationship of trust and partnership with internal stakeholders. You will drive learning and skill development across the business by identifying the learning needs and providing timely and relevant learning solutions, including but not limited to departmental onboarding, program strategies, training recommendations, etc.

Design and develop engaging, inclusive, learning resources including eLearning content, storyboards, user guides, tutorials, instructor guides, case studies, assessments, videos, etc. You will deliver training sessions and workshops to employees using various methods, including in-person, virtual, and blended learning formats.

Oversee the LMS Administration and Learning Tool Management including course creation, enrollment, tracking, and reporting.

Measure program effectiveness and impact. You will assess the effectiveness of our L&D initiatives by developing and implementing program evaluation strategies. You will analyze data to identify trends, measure skill development, assess the overall impact of our learning initiatives and share results and recommendations with stakeholders.

To be successful, you should have:

  • Proven experience as a Learning Specialist, Instructional Designer, or in a similar role, leveraging your understanding of adult learning theories to create impactful learning experiences
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. You can effectively express ideas in written, visual, and live facilitation formats. You're able to tailor your communications to meet the needs of various audiences
  • Initiative. If you see an opportunity for improvement, you'll identify a solution and own seeing it through to completion
  • Comfort working in ambiguous situations. You'll need to be able to embrace new ideas quickly and should thrive in a fastpaced environment
  • The ability to adapt and pivot. Priorities change constantly and situations arise that require you to be flexible with your schedule
  • A Partnership Mindset. You are eager to connect with stakeholders to constantly keep a pulse on the learning and development needs of Job
