QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience

To join our team, you will have:

Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
Basic life support, Level C for general duty Staff Nurse positions
Graduate of a recognized Neonatal specialty nursing program
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate
Breastfeeding Course Certificate (recommended)
One (1) year recent related NICU experience; OR recent graduation of NICU Nursing specialty program

Skills And Abilities

NICU Registered Nurses provide direct nursing care to newborns in the NICU setting of the hospital in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies; national, provincial, regional and local neonatal guidelines and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.

Additional Information
