Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workroom Manager in drapery/upholstery to join our team. As a Workroom Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and production processes in our facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient functioning of our workroom department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the daytoday operations.
- Have at least 3 years of progressive experience in a drapery / roman shades / upholstery industry manufacturing industry.
- Have effective communication skills.
- Lead production of 10 staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, policies and procedures.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve departmental goals.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage conflict.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Identify areas of improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business strategies.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team

- Strong problemsolving abilities with a proactive approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Indepth knowledge of production processes and industry standards
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Qualifications:
- Operations Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles is highly desirable
Pay:
$50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
