Objective:
The Miller Group is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Financial Analyst who will be closely working to analyze monthly results and provide commentary explaining the variances against forecast, budget, and prior year performance.
As a Financial Analyst, You Will:
- Support reporting initiatives including the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, consolidation of business activity reports, and other key industry performance metrics
- Assist in the preparation of forecasts and annual budget by consolidating input from operational teams, analyzing trends in sales, finance, general business conditions, and other related areas
- Participate in the formulation of budgets for the department. Review actual expenses versus budget. Issue monthly variance statements and prepare supporting documents to be reviewed by executive management
- Consult and partner with operational teams to present financials, determine causes of variances, recommend corrective action, and prepare variance explanations for management
- Present financial results to senior management and demonstrate a clear understanding of key financial drivers
- Conduct special financial reporting and businessrelated analysis as requested
- Assist with monthend accounting close activities such as journal entry posting and account reconciliation
- Assist with internal controls, external financial audits, and other operational audits as required
What You Will Bring?:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with minimum 3 years relevant experience in FP&A and analyzing financial data in a large organization
- CPA designation or working towards
- Selfdirected and highly motivated
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
- Ability to work with various teams across all levels and functions of the organization
- Time management skills and ability to multitask with competing priorities
- Demonstrates flexibility and ability to learn and thrive in a dynamic rapidly changing environment
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access etc
