Support Full life cycle craft recruitment for hourly talent, including management of job postings, sourcing, networking, screening, scheduling, interviews, assessments/reference checks and onboarding.


What You Will Be Working On- Full cycle, high volume recruitment of hourly craft including sourcing, screening and hiring- Develop and articulate project staffing plans to source, recruit, hire and retain the required numbers of personnel for project execution- Represent the company at recruitment events, job fairs, industry mixers, school and community events- Keep abreast of relevant market trends, policies, changes in legislation and recruitment best practices- Conduct industry research related to recruitment, retention and employer branding Participate in ad hoc HR/Talent projects as needed- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on employee relation issues, company policies/procedures, provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations- In addition to interpreting and implementing current company policies/procedures, be able to provide recommendations and develop new policies/procedures- Establish an effective working relationship with union representatives- Ensure craft are in compliance with the company's drug and alcohol testing program- Build strategic networks within the construction community including other contractors, clients, employers' associations, etc.


What We Are Looking For- Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business is an asset- 3+ years' previous high volume recruitment experience within the Construction industry- Experience leveraging and utilizing online sourcing tools and social media Results-driven seek accountability, work with a sense of urgency and possess a drive to win, with the ability to follow through with tasks and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment System and HRIS software ATS experience- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook- A broad range of HR, LR, and recruiting knowledge within the construction or oil/gas industry with experience in trades recruitment.

- Knowledge of applicable labour law and regulations and fair labour standards- Ability to develop and implement strategies and change management- Must be a highly motivated and self-starting individual- Solid working knowledge of both provincial and federal labour law and regulations- Excellent communication skills- Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently- Excellent time and project management skills- Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Must have valid driver's license
- Travel to job sites within Western Canada will be required periodically
