**School Aged Child Care Worker

  • 37.5 hours weekly (June 10 August 30, 2024)**
    ($24.56 Hourly + 10.6% in lieu of benefits)
Join our team as we prepare to open Seedlings Child Care Centre, which is conveniently
located in Central Richmond, steps away from the Canada (Skytrain) Line. We welcome
you to join a positive, supportive team atmosphere where our focus is providing a sense of
belonging, well-being, expression, and engagement for children by developing and
delivering age-appropriate programs, planning, preparing, guiding, and assisting children
in daily activities (indoor/outdoor) as it relates to a child-centered curriculum.


YOUR IMPACT:


  • Plans schoolage programs using various child development techniques that respond
- to the diverse needs and interests of the children.
  • Initiate learning opportunities for social, creative, and recreational skill development
- and enthusiastically participate alongside the children in activities.
  • Actively interact with children in various indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Establish respectful relationships which promote dignity and selfdetermination.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming work environment.
  • Provide meaningful feedback and information to parents/families regarding their
child's learning and development, interests, and emerging skills.


YOUR CAPABILITIES:


  • Relevant postsecondary education in a related field.
  • Experience supporting children in a similar environment.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Clear, current Criminal Records Check.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization.
  • Reliable problemsolving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Please note that some of this program's positions will involve working both School Year Mornings and _
  • Afternoons. Fullday shifts are also available during Pro-D Days and School Break periods. _
