The
Supervisor will be part of the team in servicing our clients with the utmost care and consideration providing full range of assurance and accounting, tax and advisory services through our hands-on, personalized approach.

This role is responsible for leading a profitable functional area of the practice - leading the team, building the business and ensuring the team delivers exceptional client service.

This role also supports the business development and growth initiatives of the practice and is responsible for retaining talented people through strong leadership and coaching/mentoring relationships.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Managing an assigned client base to support firm objectives, maintaining W&P service standards
  • Reviewing tax, audit and assurance files in accordance with firm standards for clients in a variety of businesses and nonprofit enterprises
  • Handling multiple engagements efficiently and effectively and demonstrating competence as a project manager can plan, manage, and deliver quality services on time, within budget
  • Effectively supporting the partner team in development of the business plan
  • Preparation of realistic and attainable budgets / quotes for new files
  • Overseeing & leading teams on a variety of assurance engagements
  • Effectively communicate with our clients, government agencies and with our partners and staff
  • Keeping partners, managers and other team members informed, on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issues
  • Guide, mentor and train to other team members towards their technical and career developmental objectives
  • Marketing the firm to support overall firm growth and business development
  • Participate in other leadership activities both internally and externally (i.e. Performance review process, recruitment, advocating positive team morale, etc.)
  • A CPA, CA Professional Designation
  • Minimum 5 years experience in public accounting (including audit experience)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and initiative with the ability to "think outside the box"
  • Well developed consulting skills possesses an understanding of client businesses and uses this knowledge to help diagnose needs/opportunities and suggest solutions
  • Anticipate and identify complex assignment issues and cooperate closely with the engagement partner or other firm experts in resolving them
  • Well organized with superior attention to detail / accuracy
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Solid communication skills (both verbal & written) with an emphasis on customer service
  • Aptitude to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Technical experience and proficiency with common accounting software packages with an ability to trouble shoot and train clients on issues
