Trapped Mississauga Escape Room is looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic Game Master to play a big role in bringing our unique escape room experience to life The ideal Game Master is keen on details who also has a flair for theatrics.

As Game Master you will greet guests and give them the game orientation, you'll monitor, assist and interact with them as they complete the game, you'll congratulate or console them when they finish the experienceand you'll do it all in character, creating an immersive experience.

You'll be responsible for setting up the game rooms before each session, so attention to detail and impeccable work is essential.

You'll also be responsible for operating the booking and sales technology and ensuring that our guests are treated to top-notch service throughout their Trapped Mississauga experience


JOB TASKS:

• Greeting and checking in guests.
• Processing escape room bookings through phone, online and in person interactions.
• Memorizing and performing short scripts as well as improvising interactions with guests while performing in character.
• Monitoring gameplay and providing hints.
• Properly resetting the escape room games after each session.
• Maintaining a clean facility including lobby, game rooms, washrooms and all exterior spaces.
• Completing opening and closing checklists.
• Facilitate retail transactions.
• Follow company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Collect photography, videos and testimonials for sharing on social media.
• Reporting on game maintenance and supply needs.
• Representing Trapped Mississauga at markets, events and trade shows.
• Distributing marketing materials for Trapped Mississauga.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Techfriendly: ability to learn and operate booking software, point of sale devices, MS Windows, MSWord, MSExcel, iOS, etc.
• Experience with improvisation or drama is an asset.
• Prior experience with escape room games is an asset either as a player or game master.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Game Master may frequently be required to work independently.
• Weekends and public holidays are regular working day and required for this position.
• Extensive training will be provided.

Salary:
$15.50-$17.00 per hour
