Toronto Smile Design - Yorkville Dental is searching for a dynamic and dedicated Dental Hygienist. If you have a passion for improving oral health, educating patients, and enhancing smiles, particularly in the field of cosmetic dentistry, then we'd love for you to join our team.
Located in the lively Yorkville neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, we're dedicated to delivering outstanding dental care in a warm, friendly environment. We believe in empowering our patients with knowledge about their oral health, and helping them make informed decisions about their dental care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient screenings, including assessment of oral health conditions, health history review, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting, and periodontal charting.
Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
Remove calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth.
Apply preventive materials to the teeth, including sealants, fluorides, and teeth-whitening agents.
Educate patients on the benefits, processes, and potential outcomes of various cosmetic dentistry procedures, including teeth whitening.
Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health, such as tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counselling.
Document patient care and treatment plans in patient records.
Requirements:
Diploma in Dental Hygiene from an accredited dental hygiene program.
Current valid license to practice dental hygiene in Ontario.
Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures and cosmetic dentistry.
Exceptional communication and patient management skills.
Knowledge of dental software and Microsoft Office Suite.
