FOOD RUNNER/BUSSER

Joe Bird one of Toronto's Best Casual restaurants located in the Harbourfront area is looking for food runners and bussers to join our growing team with unparalleled commitment to superb customer service and quality food and drinks

For us, that staff is the most important element for our success, and we are in the process of growing our company, so many more opportunities will open.

One of our priorities is to be an organized and systematic restaurant to have a smooth and efficient operation.

We pride ourselves for having a friendly, inclusive, and respectful work environment and we are looking for someone with the same goals.

Essential Duties

Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
Run all the food items required to the designated tables.
Follow instructions from expediter on the pass.
Clean any empty plates from tables as they are seen.
Clean and sanitize tables that are empty.
Refill service stations with necessary items.
Assist servers with tables.
Knowledge of the food and bar menu (including ingredients and preparations), with the ability to answer questions.
Greets guests as they enter the restaurant.
Thank guests for dining at the restaurant when they leave.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Flexible schedule (available for weekends and nights is a must.)
Dedication to arriving on time for shifts.
Experience providing excellent customer service in a fastpaced environment.
Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
Perform opening and closing duties as assigned by the manager. (Including cleaning)
Exhibits excellent organizational skills.
Maintains professional but friendly demeanor.
Is capable of remaining patient and polite when speaking to frustrated guests.
Works well with a team.
Communicates clearly and effectively.
A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with other staff.
Able to perform highquality work while unsupervised.
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of all areas of the restaurant.
High school diploma
