We are looking for a Landfill Site Coordinator at our Walker Niagara Landfill located in Niagara.


Landfill Site Coordinator


Reporting directly to the Operations Manager the incumbent is responsible for the coordination of safe entry and use of the facility for drivers using the facility.


Major (Primary) Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the development of procedures for the safe use of site facilities.
  • Provide training/orientation for drivers coming to the site.
  • Provide and maintain clear communications for traffic control.
  • Liaison between drivers, operators, and managers.
  • Track daily performance, collect data, and issue reports.
  • Assist both Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor with daily activities including but not limited to picking up items, opening/closing the facility, developing Operator schedules and conducting inspections.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School graduation or equivalent plus specialized courses equivalent to a oneyear diploma or an equivalent level of education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a transportation industry, preferable in waste transportation.
  • AZ licence is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate (read & write) in Punjabi and/or Hindi would be an asset.
