Job Description:


How You'll Make an Impact:


  • Act as the first point of contact for Human Resources
  • Provide HR support to a geographic area of multiple food and facility service accounts
  • Advise, guide, and counsel operational management on all Employee/Labour Relations matters (e.g. contract administration, constructive discipline, attending grievance meetings and arbitrations), government compliance issues (Employment Standards Act, and all legislative matters), Human Rights
  • Followup and resolve allegations of unfair treatment (Legal, harassment, Human Rights, and employee relations complaints, company hotline complaints)
  • Provide recruitment and selection support
  • Implement HR programs
  • Deliver training sessions to improve Operational performance
  • Incident investigation and resolution
  • New Unit Mobilization Support

Qualifications:


What You'll Need to Succeed:


  • University or College degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 5 years in Human Resources and minimum 3 years in Labour Relations
  • Experience in a unionized and multisite operation is required
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or service provider environment is an asset
  • Relevant provincial HR professional designation is an asset (e.g. CHRL, CHRM)
  • Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands.
  • Ability to develop new and maintain existing relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel within a specified geographic area required
  • Work well in a shared services and team environment
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
