Job Description:

How You'll Make an Impact:

Act as the first point of contact for Human Resources
Provide HR support to a geographic area of multiple food and facility service accounts
Advise, guide, and counsel operational management on all Employee/Labour Relations matters (e.g. contract administration, constructive discipline, attending grievance meetings and arbitrations), government compliance issues (Employment Standards Act, and all legislative matters), Human Rights
Followup and resolve allegations of unfair treatment (Legal, harassment, Human Rights, and employee relations complaints, company hotline complaints)
Provide recruitment and selection support
Implement HR programs
Deliver training sessions to improve Operational performance
Incident investigation and resolution
New Unit Mobilization Support

Qualifications:

What You'll Need to Succeed:

University or College degree in Human Resources or related field
Minimum 5 years in Human Resources and minimum 3 years in Labour Relations
Experience in a unionized and multisite operation is required
Previous experience in a hospitality or service provider environment is an asset
Relevant provincial HR professional designation is an asset (e.g. CHRL, CHRM)
Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands.
Ability to develop new and maintain existing relationships with stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel within a specified geographic area required
Work well in a shared services and team environment
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
