ABOUT UIS:

Urban International School (UIS) is a private high school, fully accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education.

Over the last decade, we have offered specialized academic plans that are designed for students who wish to pursue higher education in Canada and abroad.

Based on the program of pursuit, UIS prepares a customized study plan that underlies one of our four streams:
Engineering, Science/Math, Business, Arts or College.

Urban International School is seeking a high school English/ ESL teacher who is flexible, friendly and well-equipped as a teacher

UIS pays for prep hours per class on top of the teaching hours.

Job Duties:

- able to teach: Ontario Secondary School ESL + English curriculums

Lead and manage classes

- lesson planning
- make assessments and evaluate students
- accommodating and modifying lesson plans to fit students learning need
- filing report cards twice a term

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education required
HIGH SCHOOL TEACHING EXPERIENCE required
Knowledge of the Ontario high school curriculum & _Growing Success_
Good classroom management skills
Able to create a safe learning environment for students
Able to cater lessons to different students' need and provide diverse assessments

- have experience teaching ESL students
