Company Overview
Claussen Farms Custom Farming INC. is a cash crop, custom farming, and construction company located in Brucefield.

The farming portion of the operation operates in the local area, while the construction division operates across all of south-western Ontario.

Over the last 10+ years we have developed an excellent reputation with 100's of contractors, counties, and municipalities across South-Western Ontario pulverizing asphalt in order to build new roadways or install new infrastructure.


Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced heavy-equipment operator mainly for our construction operations.

While some field work will be required in the spring and fall, the main role of this position will be to operate a pull-type asphalt pulverizer.

This entails coordinating with our company dispatcher, and onsite supervisors to complete jobs. You will need to be mechanically inclined, self-sufficient, and able to work with others. Some overnights are required, with good accommodations and per-diems provided. Job specific training will be provided.


Responsibilities:


  • Safe and efficient operation of asphalt pulverizer and company vehicle
  • Comply with all company, contractor, municipal/county Health and Safety policies
  • Coordinate with dispatch and onsite supervisors
  • Daily equipment inspections, paperwork, and regular required maintenance

Requirements:


  • Heavy equipment operating and maintenance experience
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Familiarity with farm/construction machinery and operations

The construction season runs from about March to October, this could be a seasonal position for the construction season, or year round with work over the winter including getting equipment ready and blowing snow.


Salary:
$27.00-$34.00 per hour
