    We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out operation and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position will require candidates to work a 7-days on/7-days off (days and nights) 12-hour rotation. Non-local candidates are eligible for relocation assistance.

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect equipment and monitoring devices. You will also perform general maintenance on the equipment and design new measuring and recording equipment.
  • Conduct tasks related to the maintenance and operations team.
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs.
  • Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systems.
  • Ensure commissioning of instrumentation and effectively follow repair and replacement procedures.
  • Assist planning and other staff to identify skills and resources needed to complete planning and other work activities.
  • Comply with operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Develop calibration procedures and maintain calibration equipment.
  • Design, modify and implement changes to existing equipment/process control systems and new equipment/process control systems as assigned.
  • Support Engineering in the design of new installations.
  • Maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment parts, and supplies, placing requests with the planners and follow up on deliveries when required.
  • Addressing and mitigating safety/environmental risks to ensure all daily safety protocols are being met.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an industrial plant or mine setting is desirable.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent work ethic and attendance record.
  • Education:

  • Completion of a Post-Secondary Program in Instrumentation
  • JP/Red Seal
  • License:

  • Driver's License (Required)
