Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide guidance to a small team of machine operators.
- Ensure machine operators follow standard operating procedures for efficient and safe operation of the machine.
- Create schedules, plan workflow, and allocate resources to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Monitor inventory levels, track materials usage, and coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Identify production issues and bottlenecks, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Direct sample storage following established procedures.
- Supervise shipping and receiving for freight shipment of samples.
- Ensure that operators maintain a detailed log of machine operations, documenting any errors or faults and addressing them promptly with maintenance specialists.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance specialists to coordinate repairs and resolve technical issues.
- Schedule routine machine shutdowns and restarts following established procedures.
- Identify and address any safety hazards within the work environment, taking necessary steps to mitigate risks.
- Accountable for creating and submitting production reports to management.

- Attention to detail to identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
- Proficiency in forklift and pallet jack operation.
- Physical ability to frequently move boxes weighing up to.
Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience in a production environment is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a production supervisor role is required.
- Experience working with industrial automation as a Machine Operator or in a similar role is a plus.
- Forklift certification is necessary.
- Familiarity with managing standard operating procedures for machine operation.
- Previous experience shipping and receiving palletized freight shipments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
Pay:
$48,112.18-$84,430.18 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
