Overview:
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Junior Quality Assurance Technician will ensure our company and customers remain compliant with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Junior Quality Assurance Technician will assist in all quality assurance activities for day shift from the receipt of raw/packaging materials, daily/weekly start up check, calibrations, issuing of dyes and preservatives, batching approvals, hourly line checks, Finished Product quality checks, cleaning etc.
- The Junior Quality Assurance Technician will ensure accurate documentation is maintained.
- The Junior Quality Assurance Technician will assist the Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Assurance Technician in conducting analysis on all retention samples and building a database to assist in determining the cause of nonconformances and/or production issues that may arise.
- The individual will assist in optimising formulations based on production variances, adjusting for LOT variation of key raw materials, optimising colorant dosing to ensure consistent finished product etc.
- The individual will assist in evaluation of alternative raw materials/alternative supplier's approvals/refusals.
- The individual will assist in the execution of any cost savings projects for current formulations such as fragrance or color matching
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in quality management or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and mathematics skills.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work in noisy environments.
- Great collaboration and communication skills, bridging Quality and R&D
