Looking for a Casting Design Specialist to join the growing team at Tigercat IndustriesTigercat's currently seeking an experienced Casting Design Specialist at one of their locations in Paris, Cambridge or Kitchener.
Work for an innovative Canadian owned company and collaborate with a hands-on engineering team to design castings for the forestry and heavy equipment industry.

Responsibilities may include:
- Collaborate with equipment designers to develop heavy duty steel and ductile iron castings that meet internal casting standards and foundry requirements
- Perform stress analysis using finite element analysis tools to verify suitability of the cast design
- Work closely with casting suppliers, designers and purchasing to effectively develop relationships and enhance supplier capability to create and deliver quality parts that meet Tigercat specifications
- Engage with multidisciplinary team to integrate castings with welded structures
- Review weldment parts to determine if a casting design would improve cost, manufacturing and functionality
Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Previous experience working with castings related to metallurgy shape, weld processes, machining, defects, porosity, heat treatment and transfer, stress relief, destructive and nondestructive inspection techniques is an asset
- Considerable creativity and initiative to problem solve, identify solutions as well as improvement opportunities
