We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to fill a travel assignment in Agassiz and Hope, BCWhat we are looking for*:
An occupational therapist who will develop programs with people affected by illness, injury, developmental disorders, emotional or psychological problems and aging to maintain, restore or increase their ability to care for themselves and to engage in work, school or leisure.
*What you'll do:Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan Assessing home and work environments of clients and deciding what adjustments are needed Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills Preparing clients for a return to work Educating caregivers and family members of clients on patient care Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress to provide clients with the best treatment program Maintaining client records Complying with provincial certification requirements Assisting in the evaluation of technical procedures and provides input in the development and maintenance of policy procedures for assigned work area
What you bring:
At least 1 year Canadian experience as an Occupational Therapist
