Position Overview

Calian Composites is looking for an energetic team-player to join our fast-paced environment as a Material Handler You will exercise attention to detail and organizational skills to receive, inspect, and ship goods.

You will fulfill manufacturing floor requirements, pick production orders, and update our electronic inventory management system (SAP). You will have the opportunity to assist in material management through troubleshooting material issues and assisting with inventory counts.

Responsibilities

Packing materials for shipment, loading and unloading trucks, completed all required shipping and receiving documentation including Bill of Lading and updating SAP
Creating product labels in SAP, and labelling incoming inventory with product labels and WHMIS
Update inventory management systems in Excel and SAP
Maintain an organized warehouse by ensuring materials are stored appropriately, and moved to point of use as required using a power pallet straddler or related equipment
Accurately and efficiently pick work orders required for production
Assist in completing inventory and cycle counting and identify and troubleshoot inventory inaccuracies
Load, unload and move large fabrications using a forklift/telehandler when required

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent
Experience working in an industrial environment
Experience in shipping/receiving, and/or material handling
Experience using pallet straddlers, telehandler, and/or forklift
Ability to follow documented procedures
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to reliable personal transportation that can be used for business purposes as the need arises
Experience in SAP is an asset
Forklift certification is an asset
You will have the ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
