    We are currently looking to expand our team by adding an additional Licensed Millwright to our Afternoon & Weekend Shifts.

    • 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM - Monday to Friday (shift hours are subject to change based on operational requirements)

    What you'll be working on:

    • Maintain or repair all production machinery and equipment, including conveyors, motors, compressors, and pumps.
    • Perform repairs to machinery and plant support systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs.
    • Communicate equipment breakdowns and estimated time needed for repairs to relevant Production and Quality Assurance personnel.
    • Troubleshoot and support root cause investigations to prevent recurring issues and potential future downtime.
    • Read and interpret blueprints/drawings, and produce rough sketches (abbreviations, symbols for machining/welding/assembly, tolerances).
    • Install new machinery and relocate existing machinery.
    • Assist in performing all scheduled preventative maintenance.
    • Lubricate and clean parts, equipment, and machinery.
    • Execute daily assigned work and prepare a detailed shift report with the team.
    • Repair wire belts.
    • Test and adjust equipment to meet performance specifications.
    • Assist in training and developing maintenance apprentices and production personnel.
    • Manage and prioritize emergency breakdowns.
    • Collaborate with operators and other classifications across the site to reduce downtime, safety, and quality risks.
    • Ensure effective communication for shift crossovers, work order feedback, production meetings, and activity coordination among other shift members.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Must have an Industrial Millwright Certificate of Qualification (433A) or an equivalent qualification.
    • Prior experience in the Food Manufacturing Environment is an advantage.
    • Demonstrated above-average troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
    • Motivated, positive attitude, and a drive for improvement.
    • Strong communication skills and a team player.
    • Computer skills: Knowledge and experience using maintenance control systems for submitting work requests and logging hours.
    • Capability to work independently.
    • Knowledge and experience with operational processes and packaging equipment.
    • Welding experience is considered an asset.
    • Successful millwright candidates will possess the skills and experience required to work safely and independently or as part of a small team.
    • Previous work experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
