DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Payroll Coordinator's duties include, but are not limited to:
- Process high volume full cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Process, verify & update statutory and voluntary deductions for all employees.
- Process timesheets, update payroll records and assist in the resolution of Payroll related ticket inquires.
- Input new hires, leaves, terminations, pay, and vacation adjustments.
- Process Record of Employments and garnishments.
- Reconciliation of weekly payroll reports.
- Process electronic payroll documentation and distribution of payroll checks.
- Perform all year end related tasks and reconciliations (T4's)
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws.
- Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience in payroll administration
- PCP/Payroll designation, an asset.
SKILLS
- Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll
- Working knowledge of payroll systems/software
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information
Salary:
$55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Brampton, ON L6S 5X2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Payroll: 2 years (required)
