    We're on the hunt for an Electrical Engineer at the MTS Engineer level in the field of Radiation Analysis for Robotics & Space Operations team at Brampton office.

    Responsibilities:

    • For Semiconductors, Microcircuits, Hybrids, & Materials:
    • Performing Environmental Analysis
    • Performing Shielding Analysis
    • Performing Charging Analysis
    • Performing Single Event Effects Criticality Analysis (SEECA)
    • Performing Total Ionizing Dose (TID) Analysis
    • Performing Displacement Damage Dose (DDD) Analysis
    • Performing Worst Case Analysis (WCA)
    • Performing Reliability Analysis
    • Calculating Figure of Merit (FOM)
    • Planning and executing board and unit level testing at Co60 Proton and Heavy Ion Irradiation facilities
    • Performing Sector Shielding and Reverse Monte Carlo Analysis using FASTRAD
    • Development & Verification of System Level Electrical Specifications and Requirements, pertaining to Radiation and Charging
    • High-speed digital and analog board design including schematic entry, circuit simulations, parts stress analysis, PCB layout design, and support to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) drawings and manufacturing Developing test plans and procedures
    • Technical presentations to customers (e.g. CSA and NASA) for design reviews
    • Interacting with international vendors and partners in support of part testing

    Qualifications:

    • Successful completion of a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) degree is required
    • 4-8 years of professional experience in Electronics Design and/or Analysis is required
    • Knowledge of Space Radiation Effects and Modelling Tools is required
    • Knowledge of Space Charging Effects and Modelling Tools is required
    • Experience with FASTRAD is required
    • M. Eng, MASc, or PhD in Engineering is an asset
    • Experience using electrical CAD tools such as OrCAD, Altium, AutoCAD Electrical, Matlab, and PSPICE Simulators is asset
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and organization skills
    • Strong human relations skills, and dedication to meet project deadlines
