As an entry Inside Sales Representative, with technical capabilities, you will be responsible for taking customer phone calls, entering orders and providing customers with pricing, product information, etc.

That's year one.

What You'll Be Doing % Time - Job Responsibilities

  • Take customer phone calls, enter orders and provide customers with pricing, product information, shipping dates, etc.

10%:


  • Review and consult with customers on job quotes, plans, and custom solutions.

  • Extensive product knowledge training will be provided, especially during the first two years.

Desired Skills and Experience

Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Classes in Construction Industry
  • Basic construction knowledge of wood frame buildings, material take offs, and blueprint reading.
  • Customer Service experience of 2 Years along with, technical experience related to wood construction, plan reading, general understanding of engineered wood floor and truss systems or any related construction experience.

Customer focus:Quickly and effectively solve customer problems and maintain productive customer relationships. Readily readjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing customer needs. Recognize potentially adverse customer reactions and develop better alternatives.

SAP Program Knowledge: Preferred.

Accountability & Dependability:Arrive to work on time and follow instructions, policies, and procedures. Fulfill commitments made to customers, peers, co-workers, and managers. Hold self and others accountable for measureable, high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results.

Mathematical Reasoning:Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimal equivalents.

Reading and writing: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and construction documents such as building plans. Write routine reports and correspondence.

Speaking and communication: Communicate verbally in an appropriate way for the audience he/she is speaking to. Communicate effectively with co-workers. Listen with full attention to what other people are saying, making sure to understand the needs being expressed, asking questions as appropriate without interrupting at an inappropriate time. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Attention to detail:Monitor and review work for accuracy and completeness. Complete work according to procedures and standards. Maintain an organized workspace and filing system. Understand verbal instructions.

Reasoning:Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Teamwork:Maintain a collaborative approach in dealing with other Simpson Strong-Tie employees. Demonstrate a genuine commitment to mutually beneficial solutions. Ability to operate in a sales environment.

This position does not require domestic and international travel.

This full-time, position located in Pitt Meadows, BC.

Relocation is not available for this position.


Pay:
$ $30.00/ hour

This opening will close February 9, 2024.


Pay:
$28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
