Green Infrastructure Partners has an opportunity available for the position of Assistant Manager, Credit and Construction Collections at out North York office located in Toronto, ON.


Job Duties

  • Manage customer account visibility to secure timely payment of invoices and follow up on overdue balances
  • Ensure discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
  • Liaise with field branch management, estimators and project managers to identify and resolve client credit or invoicing issues
  • Maintain customer database integrity, which includes account setup, updates, clean up and process enhancement with IT
  • Work with credit agency provider to anticipate customer credit requirements and analyze customer financial information to determine creditworthiness
  • Provide weekly analysis and status updates of receivable aging reports, including steps taken to collect overdue accounts and future plans for collection to improve DSO
  • Provide guidance and assistance to AR Representatives and Sales Team in collecting overdue accounts from customers
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to provide creative solutions under tight deadlines to balance the needs of revenue and cash flow
  • Maintain positive internal and external relationships through informal and formal information communication
  • Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of Credit and Collections Experience, construction industry experienced preferred and minimum 3 years in a Management/Leadership role
  • Accounting background or knowledge of accounting principles in a related environment
  • Knowledge of the Construction Act (formerly Construction Lien Act) generally and a thorough understanding of Holdbacks and Lien Rights in a receivables environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and very detail oriented with strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and works well in a fastpaced, high volume, dynamic environment
  • Able to interact professionally with all levels of business partners and build strong working relationships
  • Able to work as a team player as well as independently
