We are actively seeking a
Training Coordinator to join our team as we continue to expand our reach and services.


Main Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the supervisor of training department and working in close collaboration with the Toxicology operation group and the director of veterinary services, the training coordinator will:
Assigns and manages institutional trainings for all employees. Creates curriculum and training content where needed.


Administers the training program as per approved by ITR policies and procedures, reports findings to the director of vet services.

Observes training activities, compares procedures and personnel training for approved protocols, SOPs.

Will maintain up-to-date, training matrixes, job role assignation and electronic training file. Perform follow-up on annual SOP reading and competencies.


Consults with Clinical veterinarians, animal health technicians and ACC chairs, makes recommendations, submits reports to director of veterinary services, and reports all findings to the ethical committee.


Participates in the development and update of the content of the courses in close collaboration with the Training supervisor and the Clinical Veterinarians.


Requirements:

Diploma of collegial studies in
Animal Health Technology or related studies/ experience.

Solid verbal and written communication skills, including report writing in English.

Able to communicate in French.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, service oriented and conflict management.

Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of individuals and organizations.

Demonstrates leadership abilities, as well as ability in training.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.


Assets:

Certification from a recognized advances laboratory animal science program such as C.A.L.A.S. or an asset.


Experience in animal facilities / in GLP environment.


Good working knowledge of Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC) guidelines, provincial regulations and other applicable laws, regulations and guidelines governing laboratory animal care and use is an asset.
