Your skills, experience, and talent may take you a long way: you can be part of an innovative and visionary team As a disability specialist, you would:

  • Coordinate activities relating to the action plan developed to optimize major clients' disability-management results by collaborating with the teams responsible for these clients.
  • Take part in file reviews at strategic junctures to ensure that the overall action plan is on course.
  • Coordinate file reviews in partnership with clients.
  • Compile and produce data measuring the achievement of the overall action plan's objectives.
  • Present results to clients and make adjustments to the overall action plan.
  • Attend meetings with finalists whenever required.
  • Ensure the department's objectives are met.
  • Prioritize and manage activities to ensure that services are delivered on time, and productivity standards are met.
  • Foster teamwork and best decisionmaking practices.
  • Uphold good working relationships with all employees within the department as well as with internal and external clients.
  • Serve on committees, participate in projects, and perform other duties as required.
  • If needed, assist other disability specialists.
Required profile

  • University Degree
  • Minimum of Five years of experience in disability claims management roles in group insurance
  • Knowledge of disability management and related tools
  • Strong clientservice orientation and skills
  • Knowledge in largescale IT systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Medical knowledge an asset
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Excellent English and French language skills, both oral and written, due to frequent interactions with internal and external English and French speaking partners across Canada.
  • LOMA and NIDMAR courses are an asset
