The Opportunity:


A trainer provides leadership, guidance, and support to our clients and staff while providing exceptional customer service and support to patients.


Compensation:
Commensurate based on education and experience.

Location:
Varies. Mobility and flexibility are required. Must have a vehicle and be able to go to all locations within Ottawa, and potentially remote sites.

Type:
Full Time, based on the training needs of Appletree Medical Group. Full-Time hours with the group must be maintained to be eligible for this role. Will also provide coverage as an MA floater when not in assigned training shifts.

Scheduling:
Sessions are often scheduled in advance as well as on short notice during the daytimes, evenings and/or weekends. The Trainer must fulfill all training sessions in their entirety.


What You'll Do:


Leadership:


  • Act as an ambassador for the group.
  • Oversee and bear responsibility for the success of the new employees and physicians at Appletree.
  • Have a pleasant disposition and positive attitude.
  • Be available onsite for the entire duration of training sessions.

Training:


  • Facilitate Theory and Practical Training Sessions for new physicians. Following content outlined in Appletree University (ATU) and Canadian Health Systems (CHS) training curriculum.
  • Facilitate Theory and Practical Training Sessions for new employees (i.e., Medical Assistants, Operations Managers, and Telemedicine Assistants).
  • Facilitate Injections training sessions for all new employees.
  • Facilitate Specialty Program Training Sessions, as needed.
  • Follow the content outlined on AppletreeU and in the CHS training curriculum
  • Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 Provider Training. Follow all scripts and processes included in the curriculum.
  • Answer questions, and provide guidance.

Administration:


  • Liaise with the appropriate departments to schedule training sessions for new physicians and employees.
  • Track, Complete and collect all Training Checklists. Provide completed checklists to the appropriate departments for inclusion in personal files.
  • Liaise with Operations Team to ensure the successful integration of the physicians and employees into their clinics.
  • Follow up with the appropriate departments after the physician's and employee's first day with feedback. This includes what went well, and areas to improve on.
  • Maintain proper recordkeeping for all onboarding and training documents.
  • Maintain uptodate documents for AppletreeU and act as the main administrator for AppletreeU and Coursewebs.

Other:


  • Maintain exceptional knowledge of AppletreeU (Including Injections and Specialty Programs), Telemedicine, EMR software, and Insig.
  • Assist as needed with the successful operations of the clinic while on site. This includes but is not limited to assisting at reception, the kiosk, and triaging patients.
  • Other duties, as required.
