  • Position: Kitchen Attendant (Part-Time)
    Hours of Work: Variable hours
    Reports to: Restaurant Operations Manager & Chef
    Deadline: Until position is filled

    Position Summary:
    Responsible for contributing to food safety and the safety of food services staff and clients by maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen, food and service storerooms and dining room area.

    Responsibilities:
    1. Maintains cleanliness and tidiness in the Food Services department
  • Ensures all the kitchenware, pots and pans, chinaware, cutlery, glassware and cooking equipment/utensils are properly washed and sanitized according to department sanitation and cleaning procedures
  • Ensures soiled dishes are properly scraped and rinsed prior to placing inside the dish machine for washing
  • Ensures that all wares coming out of the dish machine are spotlessly clean, free from stain marks and food particles prior to stacking and storing
  • Cleans all steam tables, service carts, service tables, shelves, dishwashing area, kitchen walls, and doors.
  • Ensure organic and other waste are separated for disposal
  • Report all health and safety concerns to supervisor
  • 2. Operates and maintains equipment in a safe manner
  • Cleans the dishwashing machine after each meal period, ensuring no foreign particles are stuck or left in the drains
  • Uses equipment, materials, cleaners and protective devices according to safe operating procedures and WHMIS regulations
  • Education:
  • High School graduate with OSSD or equivalent, an asset
  • Experience and Skills:
  • One (1) year experience in restaurant or food services setting
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Must be available between 2p to 6p from Mon to Sat
  • Valid Food Handlers
  • Others:
  • Background check required
  • Required to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Exemption Certificate required
