In addition to its ongoing pursuits in real estate development and construction, AG has expanded its holdings to include assets in the sports & entertainment, renewable energy, aquaculture, tourist attractions, restaurants and food & beverage industries.
Job Summary
The Building Manager, Residential will be a key member of the property management team.
Focusing maintenance and service on a 57 unit & a 9 unit apartment building along with various other properties throughout the Lower Mainland.
This position will be involved in building operations, tenant relations, service, maintenance, repairs and on call responsibilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Other duties may be assigned from time to time)
- Must have a strong knowledge of basic Home and Building repair, plumbing and simple electrical work.
- Interact with tenants and property management team in a calm, professional and helpful manner
- Respond to tenant and building maintenance requests
- Operate and monitor building HVAC and other systems.
- Complete general repairs, painting and possible touchup cleaning duties.
- Preform Daily Building walkthroughs.
- Perform movein, moveout inspections, when required.
- Perform general building inspections, fire inspections and advise of any life safety issues or other concerns.
- Coordinate and supervise trades and preventative maintenance activities.
- Obtain quotes and coordinate, liaise and supervise contractors and suppliers.
- After hours, oncall requirements.
- Respond to all emergencies effectively and efficiently
- As required, report any suspicious activity in building, parking lot and perimeter of building
- Inspect suites on a regular basis
- Option for livein position with subsidized rent.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years' experience
- Solid general maintenance and repair capabilities including but not limited to basic plumbing, drywall, light carpentry work.
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Proactive, results oriented and resourceful
- Effective written and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines/excellent organization skills
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job (i.e. heavy lifting, work on ladders etc)
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC
